A Prophecy Over Karyn Roy SmithThe Prophetic Vision and The Future of this Female Songwriter
Karyn Roy Smith's pastor sees a vision given to him by God about her future. Her present and future line up with what God has for her life and how she will reach others.
In this sixth and final part of this series, we hear about some prophetic visions on Karyn Roy Smith’s life and where she is at now. Karyn Roy Smith Hears a Prophetic VisionAs Smith grows where God planted her, she begins to get confirmation that she is on the right track. God substantiates the love of music that Smith has always had. God’s plan unfolds before her. Smith tells us of one particular vision. She says, “I felt like the Lord kind of reissued a calling and then the pastor at that church, who I never know for very long, he came up to me one day, it was a Wednesday night, and he didn’t know anything about me, he was only there for less than a year, but his name was Joe Woodruff, and he just said, ‘You know the Lord gave me a vision of you.’ And I said, ‘Really?’ and he said, ‘Yeah and I haven’t known whether to share it with you or not.’ And I said, ‘OK,’ and he said, ‘but I’m going to share it with you.’ “He said, ‘I saw you in this pastoral scene. There’s like a lake and trees and whatever, but over you there was a crosshatch of shadows, like sunlight and shadow hatch markings over you. Like a lattice kind of look, shadow and light, and I just said, “Holy Spirit, is she in darkness?” As I asked Him that, the crosshatch of the shadow and light that was over me began to split and went off to either side of you so it was right next to you, but it wasn’t over your head anymore.’ “’Then the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “No, she’s not in personal darkness, but she will minister to people that are right on the edge of darkness.”’ And then he told me this and he didn’t know anything about me and he said, ‘I don’t know but I think you’re going to write to people that live on the edge of darkness. That’s what I felt like the Lord told me. And the Lord’s going to give you a voice.’ And he definitely didn’t know that I sang. He definitely didn’t know anything. And he said, ‘The Lord’s going to give you a voice and it’s going to be local at first but it will be extensive thereafter, and you don’t need to make it happen. God will make it happen when it’s the right time. You just follow through with Him.’” Karyn Roy Smith Busy LifeSince that time smith has taken steps to bring this prophecy to life. She has released an independent album, When the Stars Come Out, and she will start supporting that by playing live shows. Even though she has been met some adversity with the machine that is Contemporary Christian Music, she plugs on. Beyond her music career, Smith also has a family to tend to. With one small child at home, her and her husband found it in their heart to adopt a child from Russia. With the things that Karyn Roy Smith has been through, there is no doubt that God use her to do His will.
